Delve Interactive Launches Their Emotional Kickstarter for Homeless Survival Game CHANGE
Delve Interactive, creators of the beautiful indie pixel puzzle game PONCHO, has launched their most recent Kickstarter for the homeless survival game CHANGE. The emotionally intense title takes its setting in a randomly generated city environment, where you must encounter rogue-like elements in your strive to survive. The Kickstarter itself is only asking for around $4,000, with most of the money for its production coming out of their own pockets. Originally starting out as a game jam game during PONCHO‘s development, after the wrap-up, the team went full-force into creating their new experience. For a run-down of what to expect, the developers elaborate on the storyline via their Kickstarter:
“We’ve done a ton of research into living on the streets. Everything in the game is a reflection of that, we don’t pull any punches with the seriousness and the emotional aspects of homelessness and we don’t use any stereotypes of the matter. But at the same time, this is a game that will leave its mark on players who delve into it and they will find it to be a gem that they will remember. It’s all about allowing players to answer the question: “If you became homeless… what would you do?”.”
CHANGE is currently in development for PC, mobile, and will be making its way to consoles if enough money is provided to do so. Although no set price has been listed for the game, they have their launch date sights set for August 2017. However, if for some reason they aren’t able to make that window, they’re aiming to release it in January 2018, as to avoid being buried by the big games coming out in the fall.

- An endless city to explore filled with randomly generated npcs and environments, unique to every playthrough.
- Develop perks by experimenting with different methods of survival
- Beg, busk or work your way to finding a new home
- Randomly generated night events lets you develop your own story
- Find companions, find shelter, and forage for food
- A complete weather system will force you to adjust your survival strategy in rain and snow
- Build your own inventory with food, items for survival and more
- Experience a beautifully composed emotional soundtrack
