Fans May Have Already Decided the next Characters for Injustice 2
We are nearing the launch of Injustice 2 with less than two weeks left, and the hype train is in full steam. Despite the fact that we have our 29 characters, there’s more to come. Hence, Director Ed Boon hasn’t stopped receiving fan requests for specific DLC characters.
In a recent interview with WWG, Boon talked about the decisions to include certain characters in Injustice 2. Essentially, several heroes and villains were placed in the game because of fan feedback. People wanted to play as Dr. Fate, Captain Cold, Firestorm, and more. Because of this, the creative team worked to bring as many obscure and popular characters as they could. This, in turn, led to the biggest NeathRealm roster we’ve had. But, we cannot forget that more are to come. Keeping all this in mind, Boon went ahead and named the most requested characters so far.

Remember, we still have nine characters to arrive post-launch. The chance of seeing Starfire and Red Hood among them is far from far-fetched. Not only have their names been mentioned all across social media, polls point to them as future releases. The same can be said of characters outside the realm of DC including Spawn and Sub-Zero.
Nonetheless, nothing is confirmed until it’s confirmed. For now, we know NetherRealm has been very responsive to its playerbase. You can take that as evidence or as stirring the pot.
