Spring Update for Battlefield 1 Adds Awesome New Content

Battlefield 1 Spring Update Details

The Spring Update for Battlefield 1 has arrived, and it brings a multitude of new content and features to the game!  From new weapons to the addition of platoons, this update is a welcomed addition to the popular first-person shooter. Of course, it also adds fixes and improvements across the board as well.

Battlefield 1

Battlefield 1, the latest title from DICE, is available now, adding a variety of changes to the game. Among these changes comes the new Platoon feature, which allows players to join, as well as manage, platoons. These platoons are like the clans of Call of Duty, allowing players to have a gamer tag and emblem to distinguish these platoons from the rest. Players are able to join up to 10 platoons, and each platoon can only have a maximum of 100 members. There are also four new variants of level ten weapons, new ribbons and new dog tags, amongst other improvements and additions also! While this is currently limited, DICE says that it will be “building a robust system that [it] can continue to expand and improve going forward.”

This Spring Update is something that Medics around the world of Battlefield can rejoice in, as there have been a couple new features added, specific to the class. Players are now able to use the Spot feature for dead teammates to signal that they are on the way to revive them. This is set to cut down the frustration of risking your life to save teammates that end up respawning as you get to them.

Each of the classes will also receive a new weapon variant: the Hellriegel 1915 Defensive, Selbstlader 1906 Sniper, Huot Automatic Optical, and Martini Henry Sniper. Check out the guns below!

The Ribbon system which was announced in the Winter Update has received 19 new ribbons, and five new dog tags available for players to earn. On top of that, there have been adjustments to the maps, including size and positioning of flags, among other improvements to the game.

It was announced earlier this month that Battlefield 1 will receive monthly updates, starting next month. Next months patch will focus on “streamlining the flow into matches and improving many gameplay grievances that will hopefully make the action feel more balanced and fair,” along with other improvements.
