Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford Teases with a Borderlands 3 Development Photo

Borderlands 3… We Wants It!

Randy Pitchford is one of Twitter’s most active video game industry voices. He’s constantly responding to fans, always listening to feedback and often teasing us with things yet to come. We all know that Borderlands 3 is on the way but apart from knowing about it, well there just isn’t that much information out there. All we really have are mock-ups and tech demos so far.

Speaking of tech demos, during the 2017 Game Developers Conference we did get to see a smattering of what Borderlands 3 could look like with a tech demo of Unreal Engine 4. What was on display, however, was far from concrete ‘in-game’ footage. It was merely a tease, a dangling of the carrot, if you will. At first glance, the images and stream from GDC 2017 really don’t show much change from what we already know to be the standard Borderlands motif but common sense tells us that a current gen Borderlands game would certainly look pretty slick.

As mentioned, Randy Pitchford loves to get us all riled up on Twitter and a few days ago he teased us with a shot of himself all dressed up in mo-cap gear. Of course, Randy being Randy he jokingly stated that he ‘may or may not be’ representing a psycho bandit in the next instalment of a video game that Gearbox may be working on. Oh Randy, you’re so cryptic!

With E3 just around the corner it’s very likely we’ll be hearing more about Borderlands 3 very soon. More Mr. Torgue, more Tiny Tina, more Claptrap!

Keep it locked right here on COGconnected for more Borderlands 3 info as we have it.
