Sorry Lightning, Noctis is The New King in Town
Famitsu carried an open poll this past week asking readers about which Final Fantasy character they wanted to see in future Kingdom Hearts games.
Noctis won the poll, which comes as a surprise to no one, taking into consideration Final Fantasy XVÂ launched not so long ago. Next up comes another expected result, of course I mean Lightning. The Goddess has been quite popular in Japan for a very long time now, and many Kingdom Hearts fans have been asking to see her in the next installment.
The characters who closed out the top 5 are a little bit more unusual with Zidane from Final Fantasy IX and Bartz from Final Fantasy V achieving third and fifth respectively. Our feathery, fluffy and adorable Chocobo friends ranked 4th. Sincerely, I find it peculiar that Square Enix hasn’t included Chocobos in previous Kingdom Hearts installments, I mean, this is a match made in fantasy heaven.

Now let’s go back and talk a little bit about Noctis in Kingdom Hearts. Noctis has every aspect to make a great addition to the game. He is a king, he warps strike (Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep anyone?), he is lazy so he surely will get along with many characters in the game, plus he can be funny and sarcastic. Most importantly, he already has a huge fanbase, including players from the west. Even gameplay aspects match very well. Square Enix, the fans have spoken, don’t let us down!
