Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Demo Out in the Wild

Play Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy Demo at GameStop

For fans who can’t wait for Naughty Dog’s Crash Bandicoot to return this summer, it appears that they’ll get a chance to play a Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy demo at playable kiosks at GameStop as news broke out this week. The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is coming to PS4 on June 30th, 2017 with Vicarious Visions behind development of the remasters.

Regarding those demos, there hasn’t been official word from the devs, but multiple gamers over Twitter and NeoGAF forums are reporting with pictures of said demos at these kiosks. Aside from these retail kiosks, we hope the trilogy’s demo will be released on PSN as well.

To recap the Sony bandicoot’s return to gaming, the trilogy was first announced at E3 2016 to the delight of fans. On top of that, the remake was revealed to not just be a simple HD port as many expected, but in fact, Crash Bandicoot 1, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped would all be remade from the ground-up.

That summer E3 2016 reveal came after gamers fresh from experiencing one of 2016’s best easter eggs in another beloved Naughty Dog franchise involving a man who can’t stop getting his jeans wet from spelunking. Going into E3 that year, many speculated that 2016 would see his return. Besides the trilogy, the bandicoot has also appeared in Skylanders as a playable character who is able to spin and body slam foes into oblivion.

While Naughty Dog has long since moved on from the Sony platformer, all this buzz may lead to a new game in the classic series. If Sony had plans for a new game, it would make a lot of sense now considering the current momentum of the character. It may be another decade before we see this level of love for the bandicoot. With Yooka-Laylee which we reviewed and other throwback games in vogue, it wouldn’t be entirely insane to see a reveal of a brand new Crash Bandicoot game come E3 this year.
