Some brand-new VR titles are even in the works thanks to this project, which was launched during 2016:

“The name of this mid-term software strategy is called “China Hero Project”. This project was initiated in mid-2016 in order to locate and support developers with creativity and the ability to accomplish remarkable content for the PlayStation family. Over 400 product plans or demos had been provided during the whole registration period but only 10 of them reached the end of the project.”

Some of the games have been previously showcased, like Lost Soul Aside–whose demo came with high critical acclaim, so there’s no question why Sony launched this project and selected these developers. Games like The Walker show potential in selling VR, and it is currently nearing completion. Furthermore, some of these titles explore places we haven’t yet visited.

The talent of these developers explains Sony’s desire to stimulate their creative ability. They have done this through funding, tech, and invaluable insight. Their support has ensured these creative individuals can carry on without tossing in the dark. Hence, we’ll gain the best gaming experiences as a result of their passions.

And thanks to YouTube user Karpinete, we retain footage of the “China Hero Project” showing devs and footage for all 10 projects in development. Get a look down below:
