NieR: Automata’s v1.03 Update Has Arrived
Yesterday, we published our full official written review for NieR: Automata. In it, our man Nick said: “Even if you haven’t touched Darkengard or NieR in the past, I can’t recommend NieR: Automata enough. In the slew of amazing games this spring release season, it’s easy to forget about this gem because it’s a sequel. Don’t let that happen to you.” Today, we learned a critical patch has gone live.
The update is 30MB in size. It fixes a few small bugs, in addition to a well-known issue that causes the game to fail to proceed after its prologue when all game files aren’t fully downloaded. This issue has caused serious frustration with some players since it follows more than 45 minutes of progress with no saves available.
The game is now will be available on PS4.

In the forsaken wasteland below, the war between the machines and the androids rages on. A war that is soon to unveil the long-forgotten truth of this world…
