Artists Should Continue the Trend of Aloy and Geralt Buddying Up
Just look at how nice things are when two studios can get together and delightfully acknowledge each other’s awesomenesss. Well, that’s what we’re seeing here with Guerrilla Games and CD Projekt RED. Yesterday, the Polish studio took the time to tweet their Dutch friends and congratulate them for the success of Horizon Zero Dawn. They made it extra special by showing off a drawing of Geralt and Aloy high-fiving. Here it is if you haven’t already seen it. Plus, it’s just really neat:

Now Guerrilla Games have responded amicably to their continental buddies. Whereas the first image shows Geralt and Aloy high-fiving, their post has them back-to-back with their ranged weapons. This could be the start of an amusing dev bromance, perhaps one where these devs try and on up each other. That would only benefit gamers for years to come.

We could all just sit down and congratulate these studios all day, but there are awesome games to be played. When Witcher 3 arrived, it won Game of the Year for 2015; Horizon looks like a very strong contender for 2017. We’ll see where the year takes us.
