Big Boss Reggie Talks about a Big Nintendo Showing for E3 2017

Talking Nintendo on the Closing Road to E3

We are approaching the crowded event many people know as E3 2017. And as we get closer, the shakers and game makers are talking a little bit more about what to expect. Among them is Nintendo of America’s own COO Reggie Fils-Amie. In an interview with Fox, he delivered some extra information pertaining to Nintendo’s presentation during the big event.

Here’s what Reggie had to say about Nintendo’s impending E3 presentation:

E3 is always a big time for Nintendo. We look at each E3 as a unique opportunity to tell our story. And we’re gonna have a big E3 this year. We’re going to be showcasing a variety of games. We will have experiences for consumers who will be able to attend the show for the very first time. So I’m not gonna tell you all of the various games and all of our little secrets for E3, but I can tell you that E3 is going to be a major opportunity for us to showcase not only Nintendo Switch, but also content coming to Nintendo 3DS

Despite the hype surrounding the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo is still placing stock in its other devices. Nintendo 3DS will play a part beside Nintendo Switch at E3. This tells us that the 3DS shall remain relevant and retain support. But this also might tell us that, just like with Fire Emblem, Nintendo may release first-party content for both systems on a yearly basis. Not a bad deal.

As indicated by the convention map for E3 2017, which you can find right here, Nintendo has been planning bigger than usual. They have more space than Sony and much more space than Microsoft reserved. So it makes sense that we’re bound for more than just the Switch, especially when considering this is the first public E3. We could see new IP, the return of fan-favorite names, and more.
