Bioware Boss Backtracks Andromeda ‘Softcore Porn’ Comments

Andromeda will Feature More than Just Sex, GM Clarifies

Bioware GM Aaryn Flynn recently made some public comments calling Mass Effect: Andromeda “totally softcore space porn.” He’s now gone on record saying these comments were merely sarcasm.

In order to clear things up, Flynn said in a Twitter Post that he “gave the wrong impression.” Rather than being mere space porn, Andromeda has “strong characters, great gameplay, romances, and more, all dealing with mature themes.” Another recent Twitter post announced that the game will have full, rather than partial, nudity. The two announcements in tandem do sound like the makings of a softcore porn experience, but everything else we’ve seen of the newest Mass Effect game suggests otherwise. Although the series is well-known for its veritable cavalcade of potential sexual encounters, they aren’t the primary selling point. There is a whole epic space opera in there, too. Yes, the game will feature some top-notch sexy times, but they are the salacious cherry on top of a sublime space sundae.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will hit the shelves on March 21st, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Stay tuned for all the Mass Effect news, NSFW or otherwise.
