Rocket League Developers Enthusiastic toward a Switch Release

There’s a Degree of Ridiculousness in Rocket League That Makes It Perfect for Nintendo

Although nothing has been confirmed, Rocket League Developer Psyonix expressed interest in porting their fan-favorite title to Nintendo Switch. In the ongoing debate over which titles might see the light of day, this may come as a nice breath of hope to Nintendo fans. Rocket League is a beloved game to many, with addictive online play as players battle it out in the best football-racing hybrid ever made. Reaching over $110,000,000 in sales, thousands of players have recurrently played online since it’s 2015 release. And since Switch is the first Nintendo console to unshackle its network, Rocket League may serve a perfect fit.

In their first public address regarding the Switch, here’s exactly what Psyonix had to say:

“We are excited as you are regarding the release of Nintendo Switch however, we don’t have enough information at this time if it will happen. For the mean time, let’s both keep our fingers crossed that it will. For all the latest information on upcoming releases, updates, and other news, please visit the Rocket League Facebook page or follow us on Twitter!”

Although developer reactions to Nintendo Switch have been quite mixed, it’s good to see such a well-known dev responding so positively. That alone increases our chances of one day seeing Rocket League under Joy-con remotes. Speaking of, expect to see Nintendo Switch out of stock or in your home on March 3rd. As time goes by, more games are being revealed alongside its release, the latest being World of Goo, Little Inferno, and Human Resource Machine.
