Mass Effect Andromeda Is “Definitely Not Rushed”; Will Support HDR & Dolby Vision

So Many Concerns Surrounding Mass Effect Andromeda, but Some Relieving News

Just over a week ago, we were able to confirm that Mass Effect Andromeda would support HDR for PS4 and Xbox One S. BioWare Studio General Manager Aaryn Flynn confirmed as much on Twitter. And we have since learned a few details about the game: information about the Tempest and Nomad, then about relationship sequences. Now Flynn returned today to confirm some much-desired information about HD support.

When asked on Twitter whether Mass Effect Andromeda would support Dolby Vision or HDR10, Flynn confirmed the game would support “both.” So regardless of which you find superior, either preference is available. BioWare has placed a lot of emphasis on their title’s aesthetic this time around; Hence,we’re seeing variety support for graphics.

Furthermore, many gamers have been under the slight impression that BioWare has been rushing this game. Two months out, they say we’re not seeing enough content so close to release. Thus, GameSpot raised some questions about the games readiness, suggesting that it’s indeed being rushed and BioWare simply doesn’t have enough to show us.

Again, BioWare felt compelled to respond to fan concerns. This time it was Lead Designer Ian Frazier who quelled suspicions. Citing five years of development, he said the game was “Definitely Not Rushed.” His statement flows with producer Mike Gamble’s statement earlier this month. Gamble, too, was asked about why the studio showed so little gameplay, but he replied by saying it was “a choice not to.”

Mass Effect Andromeda is scheduled for release March 23rd, 2017. And, evidently, we don’t have reason to expect delays. So long as the game’s not being rushed, expect it for PC, PS4, and Xbox One soon.
