Forza Horizon 3 Patch Corrupts Save Files, Leaks DLC

Latest Forza Horizon 3 Patch Appears to be the Dev Build of the Game

Forza Horizon 3’s most recent patch appears to be the developer build of the game.

The PC version’s 53GB update seems to grant players access to the debug version of the game. While this is bad enough, there are also reports of save files being corrupted.

The community team quickly responded once the mistaken update was scrubbed from the game. Players were advised to remove the update as it posed a risk of save file corruption. The message also clarified which version was the one that players should currently be playing.

The other problem with the faulty update has been a leak of upcoming content. The patch has given players access to the Porsche models scheduled for release with the game’s next round of DLC. The list reads like a Porsche greatest hits album: the 1982 911 Turbo, the 1956 550 A Spyder, the 2015 Mecan Turbo and the 2015 Cayman GTS. Other highlights include a Lola T70 and a Honda S800.

On the bright side, this unofficial preview may actually generate additional interest in the game’s next DLC release. That is, assuming people haven’t been burned too badly by the save file glitch.
