Yakuza 6 Sales Are “Unsatisfactory” Compared to Predecessors
Even though Yakuza 6: The Song of Life made it to the top of the charts as the #1 selling video game at retail on the Japanese market again this week, Yakuza 6 sales are still “slightly unsatisfactory” when compared to previous Yakuza titles. The declined sales of Yakuza 6Â is partly blamed on the fact that Yakuza 6 was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 console. The loss of PlayStation 3 users has caused a dip in sales and, on top of so many games releasing on the PS4 leading up to the launch of Yakuza 6, the game’s physical sales just aren’t seeing the sales that the previous Yakuza titles did.
Sega announced during the PlayStation Experience keynote presentation that Yakuza 6 will be coming to PlayStation 4 in America and Europe in early 2018.
