PlayStation Golden Ticket Gives Newsletter Subscribers $100 Voucher

Sony Gives Away $100 Voucher in the Form of a PlayStation Golden Ticket for PlayStation Store

Subscribers to Sony’s weekly PlayStation Update newsletter are getting a present today, with special deals and a PlayStation Golden Ticket worth $100! Sony is sending out one-time coupons worth 20 percent off all purchases on the PlayStation Store. That includes games for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 or pretty much anything else in the online store, however, it doesn’t apply to PS Vita, PlayStation TV, PSP or in-game purchases. We’re not sure if you had to subscribe to the newsletter before today to be eligible to receive the 20% off code, but if you’d like to sign up, you can do that here. If you’re already subscribed to the newsletter, all you have to do is check out scroll down to the bottom of this week’s newsletter e-mail for the code!

PlayStation Golden Ticket

Also, it seems Sony’s gone Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on PlayStation Update newsletter subscribers by randomly sending out $100 “Golden Tickets” to who-knows-how-many people. The lucky winners can redeem the voucher on practically any products you can find in the PlayStation Store, including PS3, PS4, and Vita games. Although there’s a bit of a catch, they have a short expiration date so players will have to spend it as soon as they can. People who received the vouchers only have until the end of the day on December 19th to redeem their Golden Ticket.

This isn’t the first time that Sony has taken the role of Willy Wonka. Last year, they were giving out Golden Tickets to people who pre-ordered the 20th Anniversary PlayStation Steelbook, and the five people who found a Golden Ticket with their purchase could turn it in for a limited edition 20th anniversary PS4 console. So yeah, basically a Chocolate Factory for console gamers, just without the chocolate.
