Xbox Players Can Now Get Lost Odyssey Free this Month as a Loyalty Gift

Gamers with Xbox Live receive an extra gift this month in the form of Mistwalker’s 2008 Lost Odyssey. The Xbox 360 title was re-released as a thank you from Xbox Live Chief Major Nelson. And as of right now, players can download Lost Odyssey free from the Xbox Marketplace. Previously, it was only available to Xbox One via physical copy.

Reenter the magic world of immortal warriors, from Final Fantasy Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi. A game highly praised for its compelling plot, its text-based storytelling comes in creative conjunction with turn-based combat. But the addition of acclaimed novelist Kiyoshi Shigematsu’s words provided its lasting impact. Hence, Lost Odyssey represents one of the greater RPGs of last generation.

Along with Lost Odyssey, players can download another free JRPG this month, Blue Dragon, also backwards compatible on Xbox One. Both are free until December 31, 2017, thought may not be available in all regions. Additionally, it seems Xbox One backwards compatibility has officially hit the 300 game mark. Yet Xbox Live subscribers undoubtedly have more great games to look forward to. Happy gaming.
