God of War – Big Pushes to Meet Deadlines Could Mean Big News Coming Soon

God of War for PS4 Pushing for Deadlines, First Hints of Progress in Ages

Remember when SIE Santa Monica made their big announcement for the next instalment of their heavy hitting action-adventure game, God of War, for PlayStation 4 at E3 2016 earlier this year? Don’t you think it’s kind of weird that even though we do know a bit about the game, no news has been announced by SIE Santa Monica, not even at Sony’s prime time media spots like The Game Awards and PlayStation Experience? Well, director Cory Barlog gave God of War fans a glimmer of hope, reassuring fans that the studio has been keeping busy and they’re currently “in a big push to meet a deadline.”

Even though Barlog receives a lot of questions from God of War fans concerning the progress and, well, any news about the game at all, he simply can’t say anything about it except that they’re “focusing on getting things done.” However, Barlog did confirm through his Twitter that Kratos and his son will be on their journey together for most of the game, stating that finding out what that strange rune on the enemy Troll’s shoulder in the reveal trailer “is something you, Kratos and his son will find out on the journey.”

While no progress announcements other than this have been made, we do know a bit about the game, like it takes place in a more open, Norse mythology-based world and Kratos will follow a progression system. On the other hand, no signs of trouble seem to be coming from the studio, so it’s probably safe to assume that everything is going according to plan. Even though not hearing a word from the Studio after such an awesome announcement can be frustrating, some good news for God of War fans is that we may be seeing some big reveals about God of War in the next few months.
