2017 will be marking Final Fantasy‘s 30th anniversary of the series, and Square Enix might be bringing new releases and announcements along with it, including the long-awaited remake of Final Fantasy VII. While nothing has been officially released by the studio, Square Enix’s big plans have trickled down the grape vine and rumors have been circulating that there’s a lot of exciting content on its way.

According to these rumors, the first episode of the Final Fantasy VII remake and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will be the big game releases coming out to celebrate the anniversary. The Final Fantasy XIII trilogy bundle will be coming to PS4, included with it, Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2, and Lightning Returns, all on separate discs and in their 1080p, 60fps glory.
A single compilation of Final Fantasy I-IX ports will also be released as a 30th anniversary collection and will be making its way to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. As a special treat for Final Fantasy fans, Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy III will be fully translated to English and include all the cut scenes and censored material not originally included in overseas releases. The collection will also include a snazzy built-in art gallery and a sound test menu so Final Fantasy lovers can jam out to their favorite game songs.
