Dark Souls 3 Headed to The Switch?

Nintendo has yet to officially announced any specific games coming to their Switch console, but the leaks keep coming with a new report today right out of left field. Now, this latest rumor needs to be taken with a huge grain of salt but the source is considered reliable as some of her “insider” info has panned out in the past. Since the reveal of the Nintendo Switch where all the third party development partners were identified, including From Software, many have wondered what they could possibly be working on for the Switch. Today, we learned Dark Souls is potentially coming to the Switch.

Dark Souls 3 patch 1.06

According to the source (Laura Kate Dale from letsplayvideogames.com), From Software has Dark Souls 3 running on the Nintendo Switch with a level of performance they are happy with. Laura says they have not committed to releasing it yet, but discussions internally at the company have discussed the financial viability of re releasing the main three Dark Souls titles on the Switch with their DLC bundled in. Check out her tweet:

Development on a Switch port has been underway for several months via a small team, with From Software waiting to see initial sales data before committing to producing ports. The plan would be for a Switch re-release of Dark Souls 3 if greenlit to release the same day as PS4, Xbox One and PC receive versions with all DLC included.

This is certainly an interesting piece of info. What do you think of this rumor? Tell us in the comments below.
