New Minecraft Update For Windows 10 and Pocket Edition To End 2016

New Minecraft Update For End Of 2016

Mojang has announced plans to end 2016 on a high note with a new update for Minecraft. The update will be called the 1.0 Ender Update and will be available to Windows 10 and Pocket Edition. Fitting to end the year with the ender update!

In the 1.0 Ender update players will be able to access the End, fight the Ender Dragon, and explore the islands of the End and End Cities. Currently the block height limit is at 128 and will be increased to 256 as well.

As if that didn’t sound like a big update already, players will also get Elytra, also known to most people as wings. Majong has stated that the wings are meant to give players a whole new perspective on the Minecraft worlds as you float around free as a bird. The wings aren’t meant for flying upwards, so you’ll be more like a flying squirrel than a bird, but hey, that’s still some innovation!

The update will also remove the beta label for the Windows 10 edition, bringing it more in line with the original PC version. For fans of the Apple TV Edition, they will be shipped with this update when it is released as well. If you are an Android user you can participate in the 1.0 Ender Update alpha test, you just need to sign up.

Majong has mentioned that more features will be released with the update as well, however they will announced at a later time.
