Battlefield 1: Biggest Launch in DICE’s History with over 5.8 Million Dead Horses in Week 1

Battlefield 1: Biggest Launch in DICE’s History

Battlefield 1

It’s no surprise that Battlefiled 1 has enjoyed a fairly impressive and successful launch. While there were some unfortunate server issues that hampered things over the first couple days for a few players it seems as if they’ve been cleared up and gamers are enjoying the game… a lot. Considering we saw a rather short window launch three AAA shooters it’s no small feat to be coming out on top.

DICE doesn’t want to pass up the opportunity to gloat just a wee bit (and why should they?) so they released this infographic with a big look into Battlefield 1‘s launch week.

Looks like a lot has been going on! 5.8 million dead horses (awwww), 840 thousand pigeons sent (think of the pigeon shit), and a whopping 59 million hours of gameplay in its first week. That’s fantastic news for the team over at DICE.

We loved our experience with Battlefield 1 and summed up our review by saying, “Battlefield 1 had a lot of hype behind it having one of the most liked trailers to ever hit YouTube and thankfully it mostly delivers on the promise of its early previews. With a great mix of trench and vehicular combat, an impressive and focused array of fun and archaic weapons, maps that dynamically change in natural ways, a fantastic new mode in ‘Operations’ and most surprising of all, an actually decent – if somewhat short – single player campaign, Battlefield 1 offers a fantastic package for shooter fans.”
