PS4 Pro Starts Production, NX Enters Trial Production

Foxconn And Pegatron Are Going To Be Very Busy

According to news outlet Digitimes, we know who is going to be handling production of the upcoming PS4 Pro and Nintendo NX Consoles for the coming season. The PS4 Pro is slated to launch on November 10th, while OEM Foxconn is tackling the trial production run of Nintendo’s highly anticipated NX console. There’s a lot of hype behind each console, so you can bet these two producers are going to have their hands full meeting the demand.

These two companies used to share production duties of Playstation consoles, but Pegatron decided to helm the ship, so to speak. They are undertaking about 70% of the PS4 Pro production, with them expecting to increase shipments of PS4 Pro consoles to meet an anticipated demand before the holiday season. FoxConn is the largest OEM for Nintendo NX, followed closely by Misumi Electronics, a Japan-based company, with Hosiden taking up the third slot. Annual production for the Nintendo NX is slated to be around 9.5-10 million units, based off of recent events.
