God Of War To Have “Incredible Moments Of Epic Scale” As Per Barlog

Cory Barlog Teases Intense Moments In New God Of War Title

The creative director of Santa Monica Studio, took to the Twitter today, teasing us about what’s in store for the next entry in one of the biggest upcoming games for PS4. God of War was always known for its insane sense of scale, and the latest entry in the series is looking to amp it up even further, according to Barlog.

We were left with our jaws on the floor when they announced God Of War back at E3, and with good reason. The series was one of the landmarks of the PS2 and PS3, providing some absolutely epic (and we reserve the use of the word for just such an occasion) moments. Its massive set-pieces, brutal combat and entertaining premise helped cement it as one of the most popular series on the earlier Playstation consoles. We still don’t know much about what all God of War will entail, as it appears to be a bit of a departure for the series. Fortunately, Barlog wasn’t one to leave us hanging entirely. He also went on to note the following about God Of War:

The confirmation of blocking and “partying”, which we’re guessing is an autocorrect gaffe for parrying, shows that the combat of God of War will still be similar to what fans know of the series, and the gameplay trailer from E3 certainly had some brutal attacks that we’d expect from nobody but the Ghost of Sparta. Time will only tell as God of War information surfaces, but you can bet that we’ll be sure to keep you all posted with anything that comes our way. There’s still no clear timeline on when God of War is coming out, keep it locked on COGconnected as we’ll be sure to bring you the latest details about Kratos’ next adventure.
