Spotify now offers a variety of original video game soundtracks and community made playlists
Spotify released a new portal for music related to all things gaming. Now you can enjoy a collection of original video game soundtracks as well as songs submitted by the community.
While the selection is still relatively low, it does have some notable original soundtracks to listen to including:
- No Man’s Sky
- Fallout 4
- Dark Souls III
- Uncharted 4
- Mass Effect 3
Spotify has also curated its own sub-categories within these playlists that break it down into indie gaming, retro gaming, top gaming tracks and more. The community page offers playlists from EA Sports, Engadget, Polygon and Guitar hero.
The Spotify app can be downloaded to the PS4, mobile device or PC, this will grant access to the new video game music section but you will still need to purchase the premium service in order to have full access. Check out the Spotify gaming landing page here.
As the new portal is still in its infancy, the selection of music is still relatively small but there are still a bunch of great tracks to choose from. We hope that Spotify will continue to add more original soundtracks from some of our favorite games.
