Three big pieces of Paragon news today as we head into E3! First, Epic Games is revealing the Paragon open beta date for its highly-anticipated MOBA for PC and PlayStation 4. On August 16 Paragon will open up for free to anyone wanting to jump into the battlefields of Agora.

Until then, Epic will continue to update the game with new content while the game is still in its paid Early Access period for players purchasing Founder’s Packs and steadily introducing new content.

Epic is also revealing a brand-new Hero, Khaimera, who will be available to Early Access players starting June 21. Khaimera is a dual axe wielding melee fighter and Paragon’s first duelist, a Hero that excels at isolating targets and disrupting team fights with close-up encounters. You can check out Khaimera in action here and screenshots here.

Finally, Epic is excited to announce some big changes coming to Paragon, including an all-new Draft Mode, changes to gameplay, and more.

Full details on these updates can be found on the Paragon blog right here.

Paragon is a MOBA, or Multiplayer Online Battle Arena from Epic Games, in which two teams of five players are pitted against each other in a contest of strategy and action. The players on each team start at opposite ends of the world and must fight their way to the other side to destroy their opponents’ Core.

Paragon will be released for PC and PS4 in 2016. In order to start playing you will need an Epic Games account. You are able to buy the Founders Pack which costs 19.99 USD. The founders pack includes early access to game and several other bonuses. There are 2 more types of Founders packs which cost 59.99 USD and 99.99 USD respectively. These come with extra bonuses as well as an exclusive Howitzer skin. You can buy Paragon here. Paragon is currently in Early Access.

Paragon can be played cross-platform between the PS4 and PC, and owning the game on one platform allows you to play on the other when you link your PlayStation and Epic accounts. Furthermore, your progress is also saved cross-platform, so any progress you make playing on PS4, for example, will be reflected on your account if you switch to PC.
