Xbox One 1TB HD and New Controller Now On Amazon

An Xbox One bundle with a 1TB hard drive and the new Xbox One controller has appeared on Amazon.  As of yet there are no official images of the bundle but the listing can be seen below:

Microsoft hasn’t announced its controller with the 3.5mm headset jack, but it’s included in the description.

The bundle also comes with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, presumably a download code, and it will go on sale June 15th,  which is the same day as Microsoft’s E3 press conference.

Nice, still sticking that knife into early adopters with a better controller than at launch. No reason it couldn’t have had a 3.5mm jack before, then again there was no reason for the console to be DRM riddled either.

      True.

    • Elit3 Nick

It’s been over a year and a half since it released, I don’t understand why people are making a big deal out of this

    • Jessika S.

I’m an early adopter and this doesn’t bother me as I will just be picking up two of this controllers and problem solved, they are doing all they can to make the console more consumer friendly and not have to buy so many different pieces. Phones come out with a new version every year.

      • Eyes OnPies

Forcing you to buy more stuff(two controllers) so you don’t “have to buy so many different pieces” more stuff seems kinda counter productive, unless by pieces you mean adapters? Anyways hope you enjoy the new controllers, heard they have a new achievement. I think you unlock “where you belong” achievement when you take the new controller to the kitchen. Oh the door is over there? oh ok I’ll see myself out!

        • Jessika S.

Of course for new customers buying one of this controller will save them from having to buy the adapter. If you already own two or more then there wouldn’t be a reason to pick one this up but if you do in the future you can rest easy knowing you won’t need an adapter. What I’m really hoping for is USB mic support so that I can plug my Astros A50 into the console it self.

You also get an achievement for smashing your old controller over your head and if you do it just right and knock yourself out when you wake up they’ll turn into new ones.

          • Eyes OnPies

I’m surprised a system like X1 with usb input wouldn’t have usb plug and play for most peripherals from the get go. I can only surmise that X1 launch was rushed to compete with the PS4. More features are added every update so you might get your wish, in an update in a not to distant future. Regarding the kitchen joke , I was gambling If I could predict your reaction based on your avatar. It’s the internet so yea thought you would be more receptive, I’ll try when you get the usb mic support you should hear me better in the kitchen.

          • Jessika S.

            LOL! Ok

        • player911

Well it just a controller with a headphone jack. It isnt a needed option to play games. They arent adding buttons or redesigning the controller. Your old controllers will work fine. Plus youd be better off buying a wireless headset vs a nee controller and corded one.

And no conducive reason to trade a stronger gpu in for a kinect sensor which won’t see use past the occasional exclusives……

    • Eyes OnPies

The knife doesn’t exist you oppressed soul go take a cold shower!

    • PachterStation

I agree, but it’s always the case with launch consoles. It takes time for a console to build up enough games worth playing, although this gen is moving at a snails pace. It’s worth waiting a few years before jumping in. As for 1TB consoles, it’s about time they started launching with 1TB hard drives. As for controllers, they can top a whopping £60 in the UK, but usually around £50 ($75).

      • Manoj Varughese

        It struggles yet.

    • Manoj Varughese

They have been doing that all the way along which makes early adopters look like they were silly to have bought one.

    • Nick

I feel ya man, you know being a first buyer has its drawbacks, but they usually happen after a chunk of time not all within a year or so. Changing the controller that drastically never occurs like this either.

  • Nick

You know, We that really supported them by buying the system around launch when it was more expensive and there were no games, should really be rewarded after the made 2 price cuts in the first year and already redesigned the controller.

    • Guest

      Seriously, I agree!

    • Elit3 Nick

When we buy things early we accept that we’re missing out on price drops, quit being entitled

      • Jessika S.

        So true

      • Nick

why the hell would that make me entitled? just making a comment, I’ not demanding anything.

        • Elit3 Nick

“We that really supported them by buying the system around launch when it was more expensive and there were no games, should really be rewarded after the made 2 price cuts”

Sure sounds like you’re demanding something…

          • Eyes OnPies

Elite Nick put Simple Nick in his place. I swear these days everyone is entitled or oppressed, who’s feeding these people this poison?

    • That’s the price you knowingly pay for being an early adopter. This is the same in every single industry ever. If you don’t like it, don’t buy at launch next time.

    • Valkyrine

Nope….just teach you a lesson to wait….no rewards for letting temptation get the best of you…

      • PachterStation

Totally agree. The UK price at launch was a whopping £430 with Kinect. It’s now £300 ($460) tops without Kinect, although with discounting, you can pick it up for £250 ($380). Same with the PS4, £300 tops, £250 discounted. But at any price, this gen isn’t worth paying into yet.

  • Jessika S.

They should have updated the console itself so that it can have exchangeable internal hard drive.

  • Valkyrine

This just goes to show that people should really not jump the gun when consoles are released. If you wait long enough you can have cheaper games, cheaper console and a better selection to pick from. This is why I have stopped buying games that are now released. Especially since the price tag is $69…ouch

  • Vulcanproject

I used to get every machine on or near launch, now I stick to PC until the consoles are worth buying for me.

Xbox One is starting to look a little more attractive and the more the price falls the more I am tempted just for the Forza games and the Halo games (predictable I know) but if anything this new version will also cause the value of the older machines to crash further.

Good news for me! I bet I can pick up an Xbone for under £200 soon, much more realistic price for this level of hardware.

  • 0 to 100

i was hoping for a console redesign, it would really help it’s appeal, i don’t mind the design but many people hate it & would avoid buying one because of it, it does look like a vcr. i think a redesign would help it’s reputation.

  • Nick

Should is as non demanding as it gets, It’s not like I said they better give me money back or I’ll burn down their house and kill their dog. A token of appreciation is all I mean, I mean come on the early Xbox adapters really did get the shaft this gen. My PS4 is almost the same price and they haven’t had to fix any flawed controller designs.
